Air Canada B767-300 flight ACA 882 YYZ-CPH diverted to AMS today due to weather at CPH:

From 6am and up to now today CPH has had 26 cancelled arrivals (18%), 144 flights with more than 15 minutes delay on arrival (55%) and only 39 arrivals on time (27%). The average delay for the late arrivals is 1 hour 3 minutes. It looks like it's single runway operation on rwy 12 right now.

The delays and cancellations are not due to snow, but to heavy crosswinds. On final approach, they are less than 500m from my house, and at one point today I could not see the planes due to snow...

Qatar Airways inbound from Doha were circling for more than one hour following the north coastline of Sjalland back and forth. Finally the could descent into runway 22L.

Egypt Air from Cairo had to circle around Alma at the southern coast of Scania, Sweden. The were also holding for about one hour.

Tell me about it. When weather gets really bad here all inbound flights to CPH use RWY12. You get to see and/or hear the planes very low over the city, and that happened today as well.

Where's MMX (CPH relief airport) when those things happen in CPH?
How much could MMX handle on behalf of CPH those times?

They were having problems at MMX too. Two inbound flights diverted to Angelholm.

RWY12 is that the one where u land from sea entering over a nice green area , and if from , let's say AAL, the runway passing over copenhagen inner city and right past T1 when you land ? Nice view specially in the summer if its that one! U rarely get the chance for that one.

I got rebooked as my flight from SFO to AMS came in late from AMS after some of their chaos themselves... I now got rebooked with KL and SK , AMS-CPH-AAL. Was this unwise to say yes to ? or is CPH doing alright today ?

That would be RWY04L

In RWY12 you land from the city (opposite RWY30) and only used in bad weather

I flew out of CPH this morning to DUB on SK. Delayed 1h 30 mins. The next flight out to DUB was DY, delayed 1h 40 mins. There were a few cancellations (Hanover, Amsterdam, St. Petersburg, etc.).

In general very slow.

I saw this one taxiing to gate in CPH this morning while we were taxiing for departure. I might be wrong but I couldn't see any pax through the windows... Did the passengers get rebooked on other flights yesterday?

SK1203 is my rebooking, thanks though   Wow, i must admit, i havent seen this bad snowstorming in CPH for quite some time. I can confirm that the runways are very much covered, and even more so, the taxiways are crazy covered! Reduced speed at taxing. We were going around 15km's pr. hour max, looked really slow.

Seems all flights are rather delayed. And the no-brain Novia company in copenhagen denied me loungeaccess, and SAS did too. Very crappy service tbh.... KLM needs to check who they buy loungeaccess from. This was a joke.
