Norwegian pilot who flew from Copenhagen to Stockholm 5 December has been exceptionally creative, shows radar images from the trip.

Check the radarimage here:

The radar image is real according to Mikael Robertsson of Flightradar24

The Swedes are now a bit confused what it all means ...

If Boeing could create their logo with the 787, anything is possible!?!?

Nope, it shows some people in this world still have a sense of humor. Remember the very small amount of people you even realized this happened. It's not like Mom and Dad were walking down the street and said " Looks, he's making a " well you know.

I smell shenannigans. I mean, the pilot can't just do what he wants in regards of flying a holding pattern...

Was this a prank by the pilot or just a cock-up?

Well I don't have the altitude data but if I follow the line it seems he arrived from the south, made an orbit over the airport (first turn) then went into a holding pattern which was not the typical elliptical form (i.e. rate turn with a straight track between).
If the wind came from the east, it could slowly shift the orbits to the west, allowing for several "balls" to occor.
The last part is perfectly logical.. .. he leaves the holding pattern on a southern heading and while descending makes a final 180 turn into the localizer for the runway. I don't know what the Runways headings in ARN are but this is at first glance what it looks like

So I think credit should not go for the pilot for flying the pattern (as he may not even have been aware of it) but to the guy with rich imagination who had nothing better to do then follow radar returns

G´day,

just wonder what the holding pattern would look like had the pilot been a lady

Cheers

(forgive me in advance) I'll give it to them. This crew really had the b*lls to pull this off.

If the airlines could write names on demand or pictures in this case, they could make a bit of more money, of course with extra fuel expenditures

That is one long massive holding! I reckon some passengers came late!

I call that a fake. When you play back the radar track from NAX3194 for December 5 (the flight mentioned in the news item) in the Flightradar24 site, there is no such holding pattern.
