An LH A380 will finally return to FRA tonight as DLH9877. It has been stuck at SFO since Thursday. Does anyone know why?

Don't know what the problem was, but according to flightaware she left yesterday already and is back at FRA.

Thank goodness... I was tired of all the AOG's being 787's!!!

I had heard on flyertalk that it had encountered severe turbulence as LH 454 and needed a check out. LH 455 was cancelled on the 20th as a result.

Word among the LH A380 crews is that the A380 suffers from a lot of unrelated tech issues right now. Don't know whether that relates to D-AIMI or not, or how reliable their assessment is.
