It looks like an AA hub here 3 738's, 1 ERD, 1 757, 1 767... is it weather... rain is awful and much flooding. Why not other carriers diverting?? The rest of the airport is a ghost town

I saw a couple of UA express Brasilias as well at SJC today. AS had one 73G PDX-SFO rescheduled to operate PDX-SJC-PDX late this afternoon, and one SEA-SFO went to OAK, but that was it. SJC itself was pretty bad around 1500 lcl with 12L/R just above landing minimums. Very heavy rain and low vis.

There was a period of maybe an hour today with truly driving rain. I was near a swimming pool and the water came down so hard that you couldn't see that there were black lines on the bottom. I'm guessing that's when the diversions occurred.

Just two diversions, F2297 a 757 from DFW and F431 a 763 from MIA. The 763 went tech and the SJC SFO leg cancelled. It ferried to SJC this AM as AA9612.

There was some awful wind-shear on the approach for a few hours. Skywest had a ferry flight from SAN divert after they broke off the approach. Right after that a EMB followed to SJC. I also saw VX a VX bird leaving SJC as well on our radar (9**) flight. Defiantly wasn't all AA.
