I wander if anyone could please provide a list of the TS A330s that have been through the cabin refurbishment project and back in passenger service?

Thanks!

Thank you! That does indeed help. Do you have information on which specific aircraft may operate a flight next week?

Which flight and date are you looking for? I may be able to find out, but there is always a chance for a last minute aircraft swap...

Of course, I understand. TS243 on January 8th.

Thanks.

As of right now, TS243 on Jan 8 is scheduled with C-GITS - "the glider"

I'll see if I can update this later in the event of a swap.

Thanks for looking. So it's one of the ghetto jets!

Out of interest, what is the return aircraft on TS242 on the 15.01?

Having had the chance to fly on a newly refurbished aircraft in June, I was suitably impressed. Below are a few photos from my flight of the new cabin:

Does anyone here have an idea at what rate they are refurbishing the aircraft? Are any being done right now?

Kev.

Any 7-abreast 767 is much better than a 9-abreast A330 which is even worse than a 10-abreast 777. No major scheduled carrier has ever operated the A330 (or 340) with 9-abreast Y class seating to the best of my memory.

There's no comparison to a 7-abreast 767 with only a 1 in 7 chance of a middle seat, compared to 1 in 3 on a 9-abreast A330, and with narrower seats and aisles.

I believe Air Inter did, for the short time they had them.

Between the A330 and the B777, there are almost 2 ft of difference in fuselage diameter. The Aibus wide-body airliners up until the A340 are made for an 8-abreast configuration.

There have been a few others. AirAsia X is probably the only current one that is not a charter operator.

I've flown all the way from the UK to Australia and back in their 3-3-3 A343 and A333. It's not the most comfortable seating in the world, but the seat pitch was alright. Compared to 9W's 77W which I flew last month (which is 3-4-3), I'd say the the A333 was only marginally worse. There's only half an inch less seat width.

The saving grace with TS and D7 is that you can reserve seats at the back where it goes down to 2-3-2. I always do that when possible.

Now, let's not even get started on the 2-4-2 767s that SunWing charter...

Yes, forgot about them, although their longest flight was probably less than 90 minutes.

Nice one. So there is some hope for a XM A330 after all. I appreciate your assistance!

Yes and you gotta pay extra to reserve those seats.

Is TS refurbing the A330's due to AC interest in LCC?

im not sure we'll ever know what TS new in advance re AC plans, however the TS refub program was announced quite a while ago, so I suspect unrelated.
