18 Human Heads found at ORD from FCO they were embalmed.

What flight would this have been?

I heard it was AZ but that was just an airline being tossed around on FOX.

Either way I read it was due for medical research......wasn't this declared previously?

The linked article says the shipment came in on Lufthansa.

I think this DHS spokesperson said it best:

We see human specimen shipments all the time. I'm sure a few of them have been heads. I just never bother to look at the paperwork to spare myself the thought.

At least with us bags fly free! But we don't do ORD    So, what's a bunch of heads amongst friends? I'm waiting for that tabloid that makes the National Enquirer look like Kiplinger's or one of those other sleepy time high brow money mags. You know the Tabloid that's in black and white that features covers of road kill that were once "ET's," saying those heads were property of some politician foreign or domestic trying to bump up their vote totals claiming his campaign got head to vote.

Maybe heads are rolling at the rumors that EK isn't interested in serving ORD anymore.

why not, via FRA or MUC. Freight is hubbed like passengers and sometimes the freight consists of passenger parts.

The airline has nothing to do with that anyhow. As long as the export documentation is alright and the contents are declared as "said to contain medical specimen" (for instance, it is regular cargo.

Italian film director Dario Argento must have been using them for props.  

I think they were probably sent to test the aircraft's new "heads-up display" system. Anyway, at least they found them - it's not good to lose your head, but to lose 18 of them is even worse.
