Since I am flying a US 762 from PHL-BRU this week I have been beginning to think how many 767-200s are flying transatlantic these days. I know at some point 767s in general were the most common transatlantic aircraft but I am not sure if this is still the case. Is US the only airline to operate 762s across the pond and also, how much longer can we expect to see these birds operating transatlantic services?

not sure how many flights 762 flights there are across the pond but in the US, I think only US and UA use them. AM also uses them for extensively for their MEX-Europe routes.

Correct. MEX-CDG and MEX-LHR rotate between the 762s and the 763s depending on load. MEX-MAD gets the 777 and seldom, the 762. As for how long, I suppose it really depends now on how soon the 787 grounding lasts.

United's fleet of 767-224 aircraft is down to five units; one flies IAH-LAX and back daily, while the other four operate across the Lake.
Today, ship 152 goes EWR-CDG.
153 does an EWR-AUA run.
154 is doing a domestic IAH-EWR gig.
159 is zipping from Liberty to Frankfurt.
And 160 is stuck on the IAH-LAX routine, with an occasional turn to ORD for variety.

Other than that, Omni operates ex-CO/UA 767-224's internationally, but I don't really know much about that operation.

So US and UA are pretty much it!

You forget LY which uses both 762s and 763s for its TLV-YYZ route

For the past 3 years Canadian cargo carrier Cargojet Airways has been operating a converted 762 freighter on a weekly flight from Hamilton (YHM) to WAW on a wet-lease basis for LOT. I think their fleet includes 2 762s, both ex-AA aircraft.

Not sure if this helps you in anyway, but I am a controller in Chicago and handle east bound departures. I would say the 767 is still for sure the most common plane to go across the pond out east from Chicago. Obviously not 762's, but 763's doing it all day long.

Three went to UTAir and the other two went to Omni.

They also do ORD-WAW cargo route for LO.

They are still flying. But AA's 762s only fly transcons, not transatlantic like the OP is asking.

As Polot said above yeah they are still flying, infact I know this because I worked one going through my airspace on its way from JFK to LAX the other day. Well we work them everyday, but im always keeping my eye out for the more rare birds flying.
