Tail logo minus the turquoise colour looking rather dull, Arabic word for cargo dropped plus Saudia name applied, hope the title application will not get same treatment on passenger aircraft one on top of the other, even on the freighters the should have kept the original format of Arabic and English on either ends of the Cargo title.

Not looking too good. This frame was destined for Atlas but NTU.

Yes they have taken up both Atlas rejects as discussed in other threads.

It's not horrible. It's down to a simplified (and cheaper) four-color scheme.
And several carriers have employed simplified logos on their freighters, so maybe this is an example of that?
Overall, though, it's not ugly. Just not as pretty as its predecessor.
I mean, heck, it beats that pants off of AA's new "identity."

its a 748F....it could never look bad! Except in maybe Airbus House colors, or possibly even the Boeing colors like on the 777 prototype...

While I lament the simplified logo (I think the turqouise gradient made the tail look great) overall its a stunning looking plane. I think the "new" logo is on another plane already so might become standard.

I think that they should have kept the turquoise gradient in the tail logo. Overall, though, the livery still looks great.

I usually kinda like Saudia's livery and colours, but the "Cargo" word looks disproportionately big compared to the "Saudia" logo. I mean, a cargo plane is above all a good advertisement platform for the company... and Saudia would rather "show-off" its logo and not the fact that is a cargo plane.

Ugly ugly ugly.

Bring back colour and design.

Agree. The Saudia livery is one of the most attractive...it does not need to be tweeked. Let's hope this minor change is for cargo aircraft only.

Obviously I am no expert but shouldn't 'Saudia' be in the biggest/boldest titles as opposed to 'cargo'?? I mean you are selling your brand not that its a cargo plane

Thats what I think too. Maybe its to identify the Cargo planes from the distance.

KL does the same with their 747s and it doesn't look bad IMO...

from what I heard those 2 airplanes are government (ministry of finance) owned airplanes and not "Saudia" property, maybe that's why they have tweaked logo?

Saudi's tail is fantastic but I am not big fan of their main body colour and design to be honest, that colour looks so dull to me. Dark blue against snow white looks much better I think.

Wish they had continued with the original, I think Saudi arabian sounded and looked grander too on this livery.

Quoting SV777 (Reply 15):

No thats their new loo, the cargo division infact is private since a few years and is called Saudi Airlines Cargo, initially that seemed to be the name that was to adorn the cargo fleetin some modified images at their website, but they decided against it.

Quoting TheAviator380 (Reply 16):

Colours of the Kingdom is the marketing term used desert, night sky, crecesnt with its now gone tuqouise shimmer, the gold could mean anything.
