Isn't it a Boeing 737-800? I like the livery.

Nice tail and winglets but why would they use the default Brush Script font on there? Almost as bad as Comic Sans...

Nope definitely a 900ER.

Interesting livery though.

That very unique (I like it!) tail shaves about 20 feet off of the -9ER, visually. It certainly looks like an -800 to me, except that I can see the extra exit door, I believe.

Correct, I can see it now as well. I got confused by the double overwing exit doors.

The exit door that a 900ER has cannot be seen in this picture. It looks to be an 800.

That is because they appear to have it deactivated. You can see where it is just under the wingtip where there are some missing windows.

It's 100% a 900ER as it has a YH variable number which are only for those specific models.

You can also just look at the photo in its original size on flickr where it cleary says Boeing 737-900ER under the cockpit windows (and see the outline of the deactivated door above the Lion Group logo) but evidently Boeing doesn't know what they are building.

My mistake, it is indeed a 900ER. Please forgive me for my boneheaded misgiving.

In my opinion it is just a copy of PIA... When do they start operations? Do they have a webpage?

The only similarity I see is that they are both liveries on a plane and use colours and shapes.
I see no "copying" at all.

Why are they starting Batik? Is it an even lower-cost airline or more upscale than Lion or what?

Quoting garpd (Reply 15):

The motifs or whatever they are do look somewhat similar, infact when PIA brought out this particular tail design I thought it looked Aztec from the Americas, never seen this in Pakistan before.

BTW this was the last remaining province tail on PIA's jet fleet, its been replaced by a flag since a few months only a couple of ATRs still have the design tails on them.
