I saw this a little while ago on some Tunisian forums.

I believe that the aircraft is ex Emirates, A6-EAA, MSN 348. The photos on the link below confirm that the aircraft's interior looks a lot like that of Emirates' A330s.

Yeah ! The photo made the buzz yesterday among Tunisian aviation enthusiasts and travellers. I have already wrote a topic on the Status of A6-EAA, but now according to an aircraft census link -EAA went to TAME as HC-COH ! Remaining Emirates A330s are -EKZ and -EAN (ILFC/EI-EYO) and i hope Syphax has opted for the newest one, or maybe KZ is a better deal, don't know ?!

Any idea where is it being refurbished ?

No, however I know A6-EAA was stored at LDE and I assumed that the photo of it in the original post is one of it in the hangars at LDE.

A6-EAN has been registered EI-EYO, as you mentioned and is stored at LDE.

A6-EKZ has been registered F-WJKG and is apparently being stored in BOD. Its engines have been painted red.

Many thanks has to be given to the photographer who uploaded these shots to flickr.  Smile

Syphax Airlines

Yeesh, I hope for their sake that they don't plan to fly to many English-speaking destinations. It sounds like an STD or something you'd take for one. Sort of like how Spantax sounded like a feminine hygiene product...

It seems like it's -EKZ cn.345 which was picked ! Almost 13 years... is it worth... ILFC owned though !

Is Syphax going to keep the same interiors and IFE as Emairates?

The article is talking about flighst to China and Canada from this Summer but wasn't Tunisair supposed to start those and kept postponing the delivery of its A330s? Interesting times ahead...

Of course and Syphax is now waiting... to get the approbation from the Tunisian civil aviation authorities to fly to Canada and the US and other destinations which were eyed by Tunisair at the time they were waiting for the A330s for 2012 ! They will put it in service as soon as possible for the summer season, certainly on the route to Paris and Istanbul SAW, and Jeddah during Ramadan... then crossing the pond. It took a time since they are refurbishing the aircraft so i think they are changing everything.
