Did a search and could not find any previous link to this time lapse video that (in the main) shows the construction of the first BA 77W:

One of the best 777 PTQ videos I've seen. Thanks for the link.

How many of those 777-300ERs does BA have on order?

To add to six in service they ordered two from Boeing in both September 2011 and again in July 12 for delivery in September and November 2013 and the same two months in 2014.

Then on 13 January this year it was announced that BA had signed a ten year leasing agreement for another two 77Ws ordered by Air Lease (with three other frames) back in August 2011. They are slated for delivery in May and June next year. The suggestion was that the lease of these two aircraft was a previously unplanned long-haul capacity increase following the purchase of BD and its LHR slots by IAG and its integration into BA. The leasing option was said to have been chosen as being a route to a quicker order-to-in-service schedule.

The original six aircraft - two owned, four leased - were also an expedient negotiated with Boeing because of the delay in the delivery of the 787.

Good Video, terrible music, and the ugliest Y seats I've seen in a while.

The video is stock footage.
The only actual BA 77W in there was the one that they were painting.
For the rest of it, Boeing uses that same sequence for a lot of airline's promos.
Emirates has an identical one, and even Southwest and Kulula.
Mostly stock video.

The first 1 min 50 secs of the video is Boeing stock footage. All the subsequent images from where the aircraft is towed out of final assembly (where the abbreviated registration 'TBA' cAn be read on the nose-wheel door) are of BA's first 77W, G-STBA..

Nice that BA went with 3-3-3 in Y as opposed to their oneworld partner AA's 3-4-3.

Thanks. I never get bored watching these. I still get awed by how big and heavy these amazing machines are and that when finished, effortlessly slide off the ground and into the air. Isn't flight the most magnificent thing?

I loved the first 747-8i roll and take to the air with the Boeing 747-8 team on the sidelines watching their first bird take off. Goosebumps.

Thanks for sharing and congrats to BA. I wish they showed the installation of the First Class cabin though.

I stand corrected. Hey, I was right about the first 1 minute 50, eh?

Great shot of the takeoff roll - it really shows the wingspan nicely ... and those massive engines.

Fantastic video.

I was lucky enough to be invited on the delivery flight of their most recent 777-300ER, G-STBF, early last year. We were treated to a tour of the production line prior to flying the aircraft across the Atlantic to their Cardiff maintenance base.

You can read about it here:

I remember watching the first 787 flight live, that was a special feeling, after all problems it had and still has. I can imagine how proud the workers were to see it fly at last.

They're not BA's seats!
