Estimated landing in MUC about 5:00 p.m.

One of several additional Lufthansa flights. Destination is also MUC.

LH is one the of the premium sponsors of Bayern Munich.

Not to forget, D-AIMB is named "München". LH chose the most appropriate aircraft for this mission.

The routing that LH2571 is currently taking - is that the normal routing used for London - MUC flights?

I noticed that it appears to be flying on its own jetway, one which is a bit to the south of one used by another LH flight LH2489 (D-AIRA) LGW-MUC which took off some 20 minutes before LH2571. LH2489 flew on a much busier jetway that links BRU and FRA.

Perhaps the ATC gave LH2571 a special treatment to make up for a delayed departure!

Nice, however, it's heavily rainy and stormy in MUC.

My daughter was concerned about a low flying plane over our house in Surrey. I was rather suprise to look up and see the LH A380 coming over the trees. Very low and slow.

In fact this is an optical illusion. A larger a/c seems slower because it takes longer time for it to fly it´s own length.
The longer it takes from Tip to Tail- the slower it appears to be.
A Lear Jet, for instance, travelling at the same speed at the same altitude, would appear to be much faster.

Uses stand 110 on North Terminal pier 6, which is the same stand that EK now use on a daily basis (and whenever they bring in their 380). It has 3 jetbridges and is the only gate specifically built for the 380.

As for looking low and slow, it did indeed look very low when it began the right hand bank from 08!

Every airport which can serve 747's can also serve A380's, Charter flights like this one don't require the double bridges for boarding the passengers.
