Per its CEO, Oman Air has ordered 5 737-900ER aircraft. Annoucement planned for Paris.
The 739s would supplement the carriers existing 737-700 and -800 fleet.

Interesting. Any dates for the delivery? I assume WY will be flying these on long and thin routes... The 739ER can fly 6 hour missions... so that's practically the whole of China, most of South East Asia and Africa which WY hasn't covered...

533 of the 737-900ER on order now, with only 180 of those being from Lion Air. Lot's of airlines seeing value in this plane!

The B739ER will be used primarily for Indian Subcontinent, Tanzania and JED routes. The capacity of this aircraft is ideal to replace the A332 to ISB and LHE.
