This can be lived with. regards...jack

I just wish American Eagle was actually operating those E175 in American Eagle colors.

I know that ORD is the first stop for these YX-operated birds, but will DFW see some as well?

There are a few longer routes from DFW where E-Jets would work better than the current MQ ERJs, like BMI, CHS, CVG, FWA, GSO, and GSP. (CMI will probably stay ERJ for MX RON reasons.) IIRC, DAY and GRR, both current Eagle DFW routes, are both going mainline with the A319.

Uhh, you mean RW? Regardless, these aircraft won't leave the ground unless Republic can find qualified pilot's to fly them.

Quoting FWAERJ (Reply 3):
FWA

BMI? FWA? I can guarantee you these will not be some of the first destinations for these aircraft, even when they find their way to DFW.

Brilliantly done if I do say so. The titles are much more appropriate to an aircraft of this size. Glad they chose to up them in smaller font and under the windows and to stop the title before the wing of the aircraft. Very sensible (unlike the Airbus).

But but but...the booming mega cities of FWA and BMI need them!

When they start rolling out there going to be too many big markets from ORD that need the extra lift/better product before we'd see them in smaller tier cities like FWA. I think its going to be a pretty good bet we'll see them on bigger business routes like OKC, which has ERJs to ORD still, get the upgraded product.

Our code is YX not RW anymore. PHL & PIT will see the first planes in Ugust.

My suggestion for AA is to re-start DFW-SBA with the E175. It's the perfect equipment for this route and with a First Class cabin could attract high value customers from the East coast.

i dont think GRR is getting upgraded to mainline at least I havent seen that. I do believe DAY is getting an airbus. CVG GSO GSP maybe. I doubt BMI or FWA, BMI is a DL strong market. They will probably upgrade ERJ's that are on routes to larger cities like OMA, OKC etc. Eventually I could see them into smaller markets to DFW that have good O&D and 5-6 flights on ERJs. Don't forget with the merger with US that will bring in some more regional aircraft like CR9's, CR7's etc

Exactly, they need to get these to ORD ASAP to go up against UA with the upgraded product and to get those business travelers.

I was looking to book FAR-MSY next month and on the return it was showing MSY-ORD on an American Eagle E175
American flight 4802. (operated by Republic) When are they going to enter service?

I've seen worse. It still looks like such a generic corporate colorblock scheme, though. I miss when companies would invest in iconic logos... The Pan-Am globe, the United tulip, the AA eagle... farewell!

It's not that bad! I like the size of the font and where it is positioned. However, the top most stripe is smaller than the rest!

I would like to see at least one E-175 in the classic red white and blue scheme.

You should start seeing these aircraft into service through ORD starting the end of August.

The american eagle colors are the same with the new livery. The old red white is blue eagle livery was due to the RJs not having a bare sk8n alluminum fuselage, so it they were painted white.

Not really correct. The American Eagle colors were different then main line because of the union contracts...and don't even get into the American Connection colors. Each had to have a very separate tail logo eagle because of the pilot contracts.

Quoting AirbusGeek (Reply 14):

Yes it is. While the scheme is at least tolerable in sunshine, grey weather like that just emphasizes how horrible the color is. I saw a CR7 in ATL recently with the new colors in similar weather.....it looked terrible.

The eagle is still there, in a pretty cool way. I actually really like the new logo, the grey fuselage and especially the tail is just wrong. IMO the new logo should be what's on the tail.
I miss the orange and blue tulip as well, but the CO globe is pretty iconic-esque. I'm so happy UA went with CO's scheme and trashed that blue/white stylized mess.

Nope, YX. Republic Airlines within the RAH group...our two letter designator is YX.

I'm looking forward to having them in our fleet.

Good catch; I only noticed the larger winglets. What else is supposed to be the difference with the E175 Enhanced (or whatever they are calling them)?

Because like the 737 the wheels are in the open. Though as seen here not all have them.

Does anyone know what routes out of ORD they will have the E-175's on? I'm hoping that they will replace some of the 145 at MKE!

Is this E-175 operated by Republic right? Like everyone said this livery looks amazing on this aircraft than A319.

From what I have been able to find is that the E75 will be starting in ORD in August to MSP, ABQ, PIT, MSY and in October to SAT, PHL, IAH, & EWR.

Yes! Amazing what happens when 'bullet holes' do not go through the livery. Maybe its the angle, but somehow the tail looks more in proportion too.

I know the changes are subtle and I do not describe them well, but the changes are very significant in overall aesthetics.

Nice to see these come to ORD. Certainly a upgrade from the crjs. I Recently flew on a E175 on Oman Air and it does feel more like a mainline jet, and can park at standard jetways.

I couldn't agree with you more! What is worse is that the AA eagle symbol and the tulip were trashed electively where PamAm went out of business (still a tragic thing in the world of design) but it's something else to toss out true icons of design, in aviation or any other business sector.

Look at Singapore, Qantas, and Thai etc for expert branding practices.

However, I agree that the new AA livery looks better than the A319. MUCH!
