For those that are interested here is a link to the an Australian Business traveller with photos of the new Fiji airways uniform. Looks great to me! Nice and fresh (little GA perhaps?). Not sure how warm it would be for the crew.

The article also shows the new interiors of the 737s - Looks amazing!

The entire rebrand and refresh looks great to me! I think FJ is positioning itself well to become a niche carrier across the Pacific with quiet an upscale trendy product!

I like it. The color is nice. I have a few bula shirts from Fiji that I bought several years ago. Always love the patterns and colors used.

I am not too much a fan of the Fiji Airways branding on the jacket. Looks cheap. They could have done something nicer IMO.

The whole rebranding is very high class yet keeping within their culture, were they always this good?

I thought the exact same thing! The women's outfit and the men's shirt are very classy and appropriate but the embroidery on that men's blazer? Ugh! Cheap and tacky are exactly right!

But the airplane interiors and exteriors look great too! A nice modern refresh.

Finally, an airline seems to be doing everything right! I wish FJ great luck in the future, it is fantastic to see the thought and commitment that has been put into this rebranding.

That minimal design where the badge is worn? I didn't even notice it till you guys pointed it out.

Agreed. The rest of the uniform looks great, though.

Distinctive, attractive, inoffensive, and looks good on a variety of body types.

The planes and the uniforms all look great! Finally an airline that is making all the right moves in a rebranding effort. Also great to see an island-nation airline making it so classy!

I love this whole FJ rebranding too! Finally an airline bucking the trend of 'blandness'...

I think it looks fantastic, save for the embroidery on the men's blazer .. but I digress.

I love how 'balanced' their branding is. For example, the white seats with the patterned pillows and blankets. It's the right mix of accent and minimalism, IMO. Combine their improved hard product with the new branding, and I think they're one to keep an eye. The entire rebranding has been very well-executed.

I think it all looks great! I like the fact that none of the men are wearing ties, yet still look professional. I hope that other carriers follow suit. I know Fiji is a more casual destination, yet I would love to see the tie removed from domestic flights (like DFW-AUS or OKC!), and then you could put one on for international flights. But not to digress, it all looks very nice. I hope they can keep those white seats clean!

Further to the new uniform, which I think is 100% correct for the airline. They have begun to compete again on the markets they serve - which is good, because previously as Air Pacific they kinda gave up. In fact they are offering $575 (about $450USD) for flights AKL-NAN & 4 nights accommodation. Very cheap, and as you can see good value for their product.
I will try and get an A330 in one direction and a 737 in the other.

No, they've thrust of the shackles and ghosts of their colonial past and are embracing the future with a new identity, is the paraphrase of what their marketing manager told me when I interviewed him a few months back. He wouldn't be drawn on the Bainimarama regime's crack down on service workers unions etc.

Yeah it's such a shame that what appears to be an airline getting itself together, unfortunately represents a nation that is still a mess.

Groan. I don't recall the rainbow being a particularly British symbol of colonial conquest. Unless they were a lot more FABULOUS than we were led to believe
