Hi All,

Just saw this 'Inside Virgin Atlantic' Video pop up and thought it was worth a look.

http://www.virgin.com/travel/news/inside-virgin-atlantic

Interesting, if not slightly awkward interview with DL Chairman Ed Bastian and VS CEO Craig Kreeger conducted by the manic Richard Quest.

Didn't realise any of the VS A330 had the new Upper Class product, thought they were all Y and Y+ for leisure routes?

Thanks for the link, I do like Richard Quest and the Virgin/Delta merger is quite exciting.

Virgin have 7 A330 departures from LHR today on routes including JFK, BOS, BOM, MIA, IAD and DEL so they are certainly not only used on leisure routes.

How do you find out? Is this information available on flight aware or similar?

They operate the A330 in two configurations. One with Economy and Premium Economy, as you say for leisure routes, and another with the new Upper Class Cabin which have been deployed across the network.

This is the site to use for pretty much any Virgin related info...V-Flyer: The Independent Virgin Travel Community for Virgin Atlantic

I just counted the A330 departures on flightstats.com for today.

And the last 2 of the 2 class A330's will be converted to 3 class in September.

Booked VS Y+ LHR-DEL a couple of days ago. It gave me a 3-class 330 seat map (and says that on the itinerary as well). Bit of a relief, since I don't care much for those annoying 343s (though I understand they now give Samsung Tabs to make up for the ancient IFE).

I believe the new Upper Class is available only on the 330s. Not sure though.

The video itself is quite amusing. He doesn't mince words - I liked the bluntness with which he asked DL about the alchohol charges. The 330s look nice, but I haven't heard good things about that customized galley from the people I know who work in it.

These are G-VSXY and G-VKSS. G-VINE (which came back from Ryan) was initially configured two-class for leisure but has since been reconfigured into three class and does nothing much but LGW-BGI rotations.

Shame they are the only two with the non-glittery red paint job!

You're correct. At the moment, the new UCS is only present on the A330's. There are mixed reaction about it!
