So British Airways is officially launching its new advertising campaign at 11am tomorrow Via Facebook.

www.facebook.com/britishairways

I saw a small sneak preview and have to say I like it. From others that have seen it reports are mixed but I guess that goes for many airline campaigns.

The Facebook page has quite a different livery on the page as of 0300Z.

BA has been using that stylised version of the Union Flag since the Olympic campaign last year...it was found on many 2012-themed service items and is still on the neat gym bags that are handed out with the unaccompanied minor packs on board.

It is due for a refresh! Let's hope they do something good! (and include the crest more predominantly!)

Oh, I have seen that. A friends son flew as an unaccompanied minor and got one. My attempts to bribe him for it
were unsuccessful.

The SkyFlyer packs are handed out to all children (not just UMs). As staff, we could see the advert yesterday - it's very good!

I really like the ad. It shows how BA puts an incredible amount of thought and effort into every little piece of the customer journey, and brings that all together with a bit of emotion at the end. I think it's well thought out and really shows how focused BA is on investing in its future.

It was a good ad, but I liked the one before it better (the history of BA pilots one).

Love it - suits the brand but is a real departure from what they normal do, very hi-tech and sci-fi.

This shows BA in a new, fresh and modern way, and with the arrival of the 787 and A380 it's perfect timing of course.
Well done BA, good job, and not a hint of tackiness in sight.

It's a very nice ad, but the phrase: Today, Tomorrow, makes automaticaly add a car manufacturer to that sentence.

It appears BA's advertiser has strong connection to manufacturing industry. So much emphasis on seats, blankets and circuit boards. Totally missed out on spectacular BA 787 color scheme or finished interior. Hope future ads are better.

And slightly ironic that the airline that put the 787 into service before them is direct descendant of Air 2000 who's original marketing slogan was Tomorrow Today back in the late 1980s!

The airline only changed it's name 3 months before it placed the 787 order way back in 2004, and had merged with Thomsonfly for a further name change before actually taking delivery of the first one!

There will be certain A.Netters that won't like it no matter what will the change will be and I will bet they are already thinking about their posts now. I like the stylized Union Flag if it is only one signage or stuff like that. It shows that you can utilize present colourization and modify it to look fresh and new but yet still keep the present day Union scheme on the aircraft.

I like the advert. It keeps it classy, yet shows off their new goodies without a "neener-neener, look what we have" kinda attitude!

Once again, a great job done by BA!

Love the ad but was expecting more from what a few of us involved in the new campaign where told! I'm still wondering if there's a separate campaign for the A380 too?????

Yes, I was a much greater fan of their 787 promo video, but didn't see it get very widely marketed which was a shame. Music was better too...

Sharp, clean and sophisticated - I really wanted to like it but it did nothing for me I am sorry - but for me the 2012 Olympics 'Don't fly' ad is their best yet and its going to be hard to beat.

This is all about the b787 which makes me wonder if Boeing are paying for this, and give the aircraft some good press for a change???

This sentiment may have already been expressed in this thread, but to my mind, nothing will ever out-do the "To Fly, To Serve" campaign/video. Truly brings tears to my eyes!

It's a nice advert, love the futuristic and technical aspect, definitely one for the geeks! I'm still a little disappointed they seem to have dropped Flower Duet from major advertising campaigns, anything else just sounds generic and like it was picked off a shelf from an advertising agency. Maybe one day it will return to adverts, just like 'To Fly. To Serve.' has done recently.

The thing is that you have to move with the times and its a balance. Its a constant battle to get the attention of the public. Last night it was on ITV HD a few times and have to say on the big screen it looked great.

I too am a little disappointed in the lack of the Flower Duet in the background, but, I think there are some pieces of it thrown it there if you listen closely.

Ditto Ditto Ditto. For me it wasn't a simple well up. Taps turned full-on.

As for the ad at hand here, it's pretty good.

It's an attempt to see through all the stresses that one goes through to get onto the plane, and all the engineering and behind-the-scenes work that gets the plane there in the first place.

In a poetic way, it gets to the point. I imagine it will work well in a country with a stiff upper lip. Unlike the ad in India that not just pulls at the heart strings but rips your chest out and throttles your heart- in a gentle way, of course.
