Is Midwest Express Airlines as good as people say? I've never taken a flight with them because of their limited routes....

However, I got to fly to Milwaukee sometime next week. Company always books NW(surprise, surprise), but I got them to let me take Midwest Express!

Yes.

Midwest Express is actually better than what people say. I go between BOS and MKE a lot and I refuse t fly other airlines.

I flew BOS-MKE dec26-jan9 for $200. I didnt even bother to check if other airlines were cheaper. They are also the ONLY nonstop BOS-MKE but the service and everything makes it worth it alone.

You will love it. I am jetting home tomorrow evening, can't wait for my dinner!

Well, they are very good, but sadly have had to cut back lately... dinner (as of a few weeks ago) was a really lousy salami sandwich which reminded me of the Southwest Airlines 'snack pack'... well, not quite that bad, but don't get me wrong, MidEx is still the best!

MidEx has cut back the size of their meals a little to save money, but keep in mind, you will not even get a meal on any other carrier unless the flight is over 3 or 4 hours. Not to mention the big seats!

I think they're great. I've flown them a number of times to MKE and MCI. If you're lucky, you'll get to fly on the OLD SCHOOL DC-9s from 1965! Still real comfortable with the large leather seats.

They have DC-9s and MD-80 series(I believe MD-88s), also they have Skyway, which is their regional airline.

They have....
DC9-14/15s (60 seats), DC9-32s (84 seats), MD81/82/83/88s (116,116,116,112 seats). 20 717s on firm order and 30 options (will have 88 seats).

Skyway has 19 seat Beech 1900s and 32 seat DO328JETs.

Any other questions, let me know. Jett

Does anybody know when Boeing will announce the Midwest Exp. 717 order?

Rj777:

That was an announcement of the MOU. The "order" has not been confirmed/announced yet.

I've flown Midwest Express on MKE-DFW and MKE-LAX several times, and they are head and shoulders above other carriers on those routes in terms of service and comfort. What other airline offers business class service and seating for coach fares equal to some of the cheapest ones available? I haven't been on a YX flight recently, so I don't know what changes might have been implemented, but I am pretty certain they still are the Best Care in the Air. And gotta love that free wine and champagne!!!  Acting devilish
