I stayed at the Maho Beach Hotel which is next to the airport and along the approach in 1990 and in one sunny warm afternoon, I saw the following planes land:

American A300-600 (3)
American 757
American Eagle ATR-42
Pan Am 727-200
Pan Am Airbus A310-300
LIAT (various turboprops)
Air France 747-100
Lufthansa MD-11
KLM MD-11
American DC10-10
Continental 727-200

It's a wonderful view.

I have a pic at SXM that I really like... the quality isn't high enough for here (I am looking for the negative to rescan it and re-submit), but I put it up on my own site if anyone wants to take a look. - it is a KLM 747-200 SUD.
