Was having a look at this photo and noticed what looks like a nose wheel at the back of the fuselage! What is it anyway?

My first impression was that it maybe another plane's but it looks in line with the other wheels in the picture.

it is a nosewheel of another plane, if you look closely at it you can see the other plane slightly

L-188 what do u mean by well hung 747? u mean that all 747s have another wheel in the back and is used only during maintenance or something like that?

That other plane is chalked. Anyway, I don't see the mechanic lying on the wing reaching into the engine!

Look on the part of the wing directly above the #2 engine. See the yellow-bluish thing on top? Thats the mechanic.
