The configuration is 1-2-1. The twin seats have a partition
that separates them. The seat also fold down to form
a bed...

I personally think it is better than SQ's first class seat.... or am I wrong?

anyway, the reason I asked is that I have some Delta miles. Delta's program allows me to use it for a first class ticket to Asia on SQ or CI.(Sept or early Oct) I've tried SQ's first class seat before and it is awesome... However, the CI first class seat looks awfully tempting to me...

The shape of the CI seat seems to be less elegant than SQ's. But then that's talking aesthetically.

If you've tried SIA before, then why not try CI this time round... providing you have no qualms about their safety record.

I am just curious why all these nice cabin pictures are not found in a.net's database? Has a.net become so strict with pictures that all of us members are missing out on the good stuff?

I do not see any reason why you should not try CI F, but I think that the seat looks a bit thin.

One thing that almost is certain, it seems that CI product testers have spent a lot of time in Singapore Airlines's First Class. Note the shape of the seat and the shape of the top of the head privacy cover.

The over-use of burr wood effect is not to my liking. Mahogany would have been better I think.

I agree with Singapore_Air on this one the use of the wood is over kill. The colours used in the cabin clash a lot and don't create the ambience you will get when on SQ's first class. Also CI have a terrible safety record and I advice that you stay away from them. But if Danger is your middle name then give 'em a try.

I feel you should go for SIA's First Class cabin. It looks much more nicer and elegant. The seat cover on CI's First Class seats don't look too appealing.(fabric vs Connoly leather) I also noticed that the PTV remote is THE SAME AS SQ's! So I guess mostly everything is copied.

I would say that the SQ seats LOOK much nicer! But I guess if you have no problem with the safety of CI, why not try them!

lets not forget the price difference!!! CI offers some really low fares compared to SQ...

... and why are CI offering low fares? To try and entice passengers. And why are they so low? Because most people are aware of CI's horrible safety record and steer well clear. Remember... if it's too good to be true, it usually is.

Besides, we're talking about a redemption here, which makes SQ look even more sweeter...

Lets all put the perceptions of CI aside, we are talking about comparing the F Class seats here, not the safety record of the airline. Look at it objectively, CI's seat does look comfy compared to SQ's. There seems more cushion in CI's.

But they are both suites, right? Why don't someone attach a pic of SQ's Sky Suite and compare?

A little correction here, the colours you see on the headrest is not pink. Rather, its a variation of purple.

I've pretty much decided to use my Delta miles towards a China Airlines first class ticket from NY to Asia. Having tried SQ's first class already, I'd like to try CI, for comparison...

Obviously, if I had to use cash (which is just as good as money, according to the Aflac commercials with the duck...   ) to buy the ticket, then I'd definitely buy a SQ ticket...

...which brings me to the only question I have left... God forbid, if something fatal happens to the CI plane that I'm flying on, am I entitled to any compensation? (since I'm using Delta miles and not paying for the ticket itself) ...guess this can also apply to other airlines as well...

most airlines with PTVs including Emirates use the same PTV remote control, i think.

Tacky... The seats and dividers look comfortable, but the finishes look like they came from some over-the-top Chinese restaurant. SQ's definitely looks better. The use of an appropriate finish/color is important. Although CX first class cabin is very comfortable and luxurious, the predominant use of dark gray charcoal reduces its appeal. Airlines should steer away from funky colors and stick to neutrals and blues.

I heard one of those seats costs 200,000 US dollars to make. You can buy a house with that. :-o
