Topic: EasyJet To Buy Coffee Shops?

Fresh from its purchase of Go! the easy group, of which easyjet is the main member now wishes to purchase a chain of coffee shops. I presume that such delights as biscuits and sandwiches in the shape of aeroplanes may now become available.

Any idea for the names of the coffees?

The easyGroup is much more than that airline easyJet. They have a rental car company, internet-shops (easyInternetCafé) etc. Just have a look to http://www.easygroup.co.uk/.

You can even submit new ideas for them: http://www.easygroup.co.uk/NewIdeas/index.html.

They want to make the the coffee shops into internet cafe - perhaps they could offer a furhter discount on bookings if it made on a computer in their internet shops!! That might give starbucks etc a scare!

Well, I'm a fan of LCCs and welcome any move to make things such as flying, going to the movies, net access etc. more affordable.

I'm not sure about the cafe concept, personally. Part of the reason I like to visit a cafe is because of ambience, decor, conversation....as well as good quality, gourmet coffee. I'm not a great fan of coffee chains such as Starbucks etc. as I don't think they really have much of the type of ambience I'm looking for-quiet, discrete, charming & personal service-preferably an Italian family run affair....those kinds of cafes are quite rare....I just think the whole Starbucks thing is a bit tacky and loud for me-so that's why I wonder what the Easycafes are going to be like.

But hey, I'm probably a minority, judging by the popularity of chain-coffee shops such as Starbucks, Costa etc.!

I think you are bound to have a bit of orange somewhere.
