I would like to hear your opinion of what you all thin of United Airlines and TWA's livery. Don't hold back.

I love TWAs current livery. The globe on the side gives it a nice classy look to go with the great name. United is rather dull and aweful to look at when its cloudy.

Together with Northwest these two airlines have the most attractive paint schemes of all US airlines.
Shame that TWA only has boring airplanes left in their fleet after 747s and Tristars are gone...
United looks dark and -yes- they somehow copied the old brilliant BA colours a bit. But their livery is impressive.

TWA has simply the best looking scheme out right now. The colors blend very nicely and looks very good on all their aircraft. As for United, I like it a lot, but as one said earlier, unles its bright sunny day the planes look very dull. Still a great scheme though.
And to NA gee, I guess the 767's, 757's, MD-83's, 727's, 717's, and DC-9's are just boring old airplanes that TWA owns. I dont know if that was the best comment you could say about an airline considering they now have one of the youngest fleets and these are all great airplanes.

I like TWAs, but United is one of my favorites. Especially on the B727. But more all time favorite? One that is rarely mentioned?
National Airlines. Love it!

United's is too much like the previous BA scheme and also Canadian's (how long more will that be around). United's last good livery was the blue cheatline and white roof scheme used up to the mid 70's.

TWA I like - it's obviously inspired by the scheme used in the 60's and up to around 1976 - which I also liked.

TWA, along with Northwest, has the nicest livery of any US airline. Very nice having the gold globe along with the red and very dark blue. United looks a little dull on overcast days(which is not uncommon in YVR.). The "United" title should stand out a little more - and they shouldn't have shrunk the logo on the tail!

I think both TWA and UAL have very classy liveries. I am doing 1/144 plastic models using both - TWA 757-200 and UAL 747-400.

I haven't been able to figure out the exact shade of TWA's dark blue lower fuselage; in some light, it looks almost black, in others, deep blue. It really looks amazing with the red and gold, though. I also love the contrasting dark blue and grey on UAL's planes, as well as the dark blue engine nacelles. By the way, the cheatline stripe is a take-off on the old UAL red and orange stripes, not the Pride flag.

I just love Uniteds paint scheme, it really stand out when looking at gates at airports.
It is also one of the few none-white-paint-scheme
(or just fully painted).

I also like the new coleurs of TWA, they have nice tail colerurs.

I have just some of the other RE. and I'am totally
chocked, the majority of you dislike the United coleurs?!!!
You compare it to the old winter depressed BA scheme?!!
The old BA scheme has a darker grey that looks like a sobby and cold winter day and the black/dark blue bottom just does not match.
The united coleurs are beautifil nice lighter grey with white writing and ocean blue bottom is georgeus.
The smaller logo on the tail is what is called discression design which is very up to date!!!
Another example of des.des. is the tail logo of Cathay as well as the entire and new coleur scheme of SAS

United's color scheme is one of my favorites next to America West's. I personally like the the darker colors, but here at ABQ it is always sunny so it never looks dull. As for TWA's it is cool too. A lot more better than thier old scheme.

I don't like UAL's livery too much. It's too dark, and I can't get a good shot of it. TWA's I like. It looks sharp on the 757's.

Actually the United cheatline consists of red, orange, and blue lines. The blue stripe sits just above the blue underside of the fuselage, so its hard to see sometimes.
