Don't let him get to you. I think its nice that an employee is proud of their airline. I guess those that make snide remarks are jealous as heck, not to mention they probably have such a miserable life and job that they find it hard to believe someone actually enjoys what they do.

To be 100% honest, it it comming to the point for me where on Domestic US travel, it's southwest or drive.
I can't handle airports anymore, WN's lines always go fast as the check-in counters are always full of people working hard. My flights aren't delayed, and should they be, I know why, how long, and what is being done to make things right.
I get Rapid Rewards in a 2-1 basis by booking online, and the couple of stops accross the country are somewhat irksome, but I'll support southwest till they have direct transcon.
I will drive 2 hours out of my way to save the $400 difference in costs, and you know what, I'd prolly drive 2 hours to an airport that Southwest served if the closest one wasn't anyway.
I'm a plane addict, love diversity in fleets, and love a good premium product.
As of late though, it has been a personal choice, and a favorite choice, to simply say, "Southwest or Bust"

Southwest has been simply phenomenal in my experience with them...if they flew to any airport in the PHL area Id be taking them an awful lot more than I have...far and away they are my favorite of the airlines that Ive flown...

KAUSpilot, you're right. Our sports allegiances shouldn't matter. Your allegiance to UT is perfectly natural, given your ties to the great state of Texas and the school itself. I do respect the football program at UT; it's just that sometimes I get tired of hearing some of the "homers". Besides, I find myself agreeing with you on non-sports matters about 98% of the time. Heck, we even might even have some common ground when it comes to sports; since moving to Texas, I have adopted the Stars and Rangers as my favorite NHL and MLB teams.
Silverfox, I couldn't answer your question. I just fix 'em. Sorry.

And even better he has every right to be proud of WN's success. I really like flying with WN also. As a passenger you absolutely always know what to expect.

BTW....I think WN should set up some sort of very simple code share with Airtran.....just take bags off of one A/C and move them to another. It would be a EASY way to open the Atlanta mkt. to WN customers. And it would give Delta a heart attack on the spot.

737doc....You keep babying those pretty birds and i'll look you up when i'm driving one of em'!! I find it absolutely heartwarming to hear employees happy with their work and proud of their employer. You should be proud of them..they are the cream of the crop! I will bust my arse to drive a 73 for Southwest...and i'll paint my nose brown for Herb anyday. GO STARS, GO RANGERS, GO COWBOYS, GO MAVERICKS. Maybe its the whole Love field thing.
