Fox news just reported a man ran past security in terminal A at DFW. Three terminals are being evacuated.

That it!! This is last chance for the illegal security breach at DFW airport and let's leave people alone and please let it go some of the people need to be hurry to be catch his flight. OK? That TSA will be fired at the DFW airport and those are no longer for use with TSA at the checkpoint anymore either. They want need back with Globe Aviation, ITS, Worldwide Security Associates and others, too.

Hey maybe you are right. We can bring back the old folks who ran security before. You know, kind of like the ones who "let" the guy in Atlanta go back down the escalator. He actually succeeded in getting the entire airport shut down. TSA was not running the show then, so you cannot blame them for the Hartsfield incident.

After today's security breach, are you still supportive of allowing people other than passengers and employees through the checkpoint? Imagine what kind of mess it would have been with that many more people in the 3 terminals that they had to shut down.

I am surprised too. The last time I was at DFW(less than a month ago), I was shocked I did not set off the medal detector. I've seen times where huge lines have formed due to security giving everybody extra treatment, then again, you can never be too careful.

Does anybody know what the delays are like?

This is unacceptable. I hope the idiot who did this will be caught and sent to some hell-hole of a prison where he can think a long time about what he did; and I hope the person(s) responsible for allowing him through will be fired.

We have to have security, but this is a ridiculous. If the screeners can't handle this task then let's get the National Guard, state troopers, or whoever to stand there and physically block-and shooting to kill if necessary-idiots who try this. This should not happen again.

I was driving back from Denton and I heard it on the news, so I drove over to DFW. Planes to/from Terminal E (DL, NW, FL) were allowed to leave/depart without any problems, every other terminal was closed off because they are interconnected. If you are familiar with DFW, there is a large tarmac next to the American Eagle Remote Terminal, and there were about 20-30 planes (all AA and Eagle) sitting on the tarmac, unable to go to the terminal because everything was closed. Somewhat suprisingly, they kept landing planes, and parking them, even though the controllers had "no idea" how long the planes would be out on the tarmac. I'm suprised they didnt divert some flight. Windy day also, winds to the south at 25, gusting to 36.

Oh yeah, the official story is that after his bag went through the x-ray machine, they pulled it aside to do the explosive tests. The test where they wipe the luggage with a piece of cloth, and put the cloth in the scanner, it tested positive, and when the TSA guy turned around to confront the man about the results, he was already running through a crowd on the airside part of the terminal.

On the news, they had some TSA manager on and said he didnt expect his guys to chase the man. What a joke, a bunch of cowards. I'm sure half the people working the X-ray machines dont have the IQ to even run though.

Continental-

No, this is exactly the reason why its good the private companies are gone. Things like this were more frequent then.

Ok, lets get this straight. The man got his bag searched for explosives. The machine tested positive and the alarm went off. As the TSA person looked down to see the alarm, the man was gone with his bag. They did not see the man running off into the crowds. He was just gone. They did run after him, but could not find him. It was then they evacuated all three terminals, and held all flights.

Have any major airports installed very clear security cameras at security checkpoints? Everyone has seen the security videos from 9-11 but they weren't that clear. I would think they would want "in your face" cameras to see everyone that walks through each chute at security. I would imagine they have installed something like that, so do you think it would be easy to get this guy's, or any other person who passes through security, face on camera and show it on the news or something to help identify him?
