I heard that Iberia added 3 more flights to Mexico City, so now they have 10 flights a week.

Can anybody tell me the schedule of those 3 additional flights??

Iberia increases frequencies to Mexico City from its Madrid hub on peak seasons, although I was told they will start adding frequencies in january. The following is the daily flight:

IB6402 MEX-MAD 09:20pm - 02:35pm
IB6403 MAD-MEX 12:30pm - 05:45pm

and the new flight will operate on tuesdays, fridays and sundays:

IB6400 MEX-MAD 12:35pm - 05:50am
IB6401 MAD-MEX 01:50am - 07:05am

Additionally, subject to government approval, Alitalia will started codesharing with AeroMexico on the MEX-MAD route in order to feed their MAD-MXP and MAD-FCO flights.
AZ3129 MEX-MAD
AZ3130 MAD-MEX 02:00pm - 07:00pm

Ghost:

A travel agent who is a friend of mine gave me a copy of the press release AZ gave them. By the way, Alitalia is not only codesharing on AeroMexico's MEX-MAD-MEX flight but also on AeroMexico's MEX-JFK-MEX to feed Alitalia's flights to MXP and FCO.

AZ3124 MEX-JFK = AM402 09:30am - 0300pm
AZ3125 JFK-MEX = AM403 04:30pm - 08:50pm

And AeroMexico is Codesharing with Alitalia's on AZ flights from MAD and JFK to FCO and MXP. For example:

AM9404 MXP-JFK 10:15am - 01:20pm = AZ605
AM9405 JFK-MXP 06:15pm - 08:20pm = AZ604

I thought Aeromexico and Alitalia also are codesharing on MIA-MXP flights, but I'm not very sure about that. Any info about it?!

Thanks for the info Rojo.

I think a route MEX-MXP-MEX or MEX-FCO-MEX could work for AeroMexico and AZ. Lets see how long this will take to AMX. Cause I doubt AZ to be interested in flying to MEX for now.

Yes, AeroMexico is codesharing on Alitalia's daily Miami-Milan Malpensa service. Flight is AM 9436/9437.

An A340 at 7 o'clock. Interesting! And Aeromexico and Alitalia codesharing also nice. But Aeromexico should take its chances and start to operate with its own aircraft to Milan. I guess there is a market. Mexicans do travel a lot!

MEX-MXP: I think they could start the route with their own equipment when they'll get the AF 777, and AZ helping AM filling them with codeshare agreement. The route could also work well due to the lot of tourist going to Mexico from Italy (I think they'll codeshare oon some internal routes, at least Cancun).
AZ has no possibility to open that route right now, due to equipment shortage and other priorities (they also promised to reopen at least PEK, HKG and SFO or LAX).
