Status Of RWY 17L/35R At MCO

Can anyone tell me what the current status is regarding 17L/35R (the new runway) at MCO? I thought it was to open last year, but I haven't heard much news on it, so I assume it is still under construction. Can anyone tell me if it will be open by April, as I am going down to MCO then and I hope that our plane would use it (I am coming in on Comair).
