I friend of mine works at the US DOT. Late this afternoon the DOT said they wanted more information from AA/BA on the codeshare proposal they applied for on 11-18-02. It does not call for transatlantic codeshare. When my friend told me, I did some checking on the internet. Sure enough the headlines are on various sites, but to access the full story one has to be a subscriber. Is there anyone out there that can provide some insight as to exactly what the DOT is now seeking? Or is this just a stall by the US because Fedex did not get what they want from the UK and LHR is still closed to all US carriers othe than UA and AA. Thank you.
