Hey everyone.. I know some of you have asked to see a pic of me in flight etc, so here we go..

This is in our A321, D-ALAO, on lease from Aero LLoyd, flying for Funjet Vacations. This is on the way home from CUN, to DTW, on 1-17-03.. I think we were near BNA..

For those of you who DON'T KNOW, a little about my airline.. Rayn International Airlnes..

Ryan Int'l is privately owned, started some 30+ years ago. Got into the cargo flying, then moved onto cargo and pax flights for charter companies. Ryan does not own any of its planes, besides I think one or two cargo 727's. All are leased from other companies, here in the states and abroad. The ones we have at DTW are an A320, G-BXKC from JMC, and an A321, D-ALAO, from Aero LLoyd. We lease them now, becuase this is the slower time for those companies, and rather then the planes just sitting unused. We provide the crew, maintenance, etc, operate the planes, and go where our contracts take us. At DTW, we fly the A320 for Apple Vacations, and the A321 for Funjet, although they may be used for unscheduled for whatever reason too.
Our runs are always to and from same day, so we get to come home every night. The only exception is when there is a mechanical or whatever, or too long of a delay..

Don't know what else to say.. Anyone have any ?'s???

I'm going to work up a trip report or 2 from my perspective now.. Read them when done  Smile

Well that answers the question about the A321 flying into DTW. Funny thing I haven't seen it yet. Could you post a picture of your plane how it is presently painted?

Just a quick question for you Chris, I fly on G-BXKC when it is in the uk for JMC (soon to be TCX). What config is it in for Ryan? We carry 180 on all our A320's.

Look after her for us !!

See ya

When your A320's are here, for us, they are in 174 pax config.. 29 rows, 3 each side, 6 f/a jumpseat positions.. 1 double seat in the forward galley, at the L1 door, 1 swing-out forward facing jumpseat in the aft, 1 double seat in the aft galley at the R2 door, and one single seat in aft galley at the L2 door..

This is the 2nd A320 at DTW, the first for us being G-BXKA, that had some sort of tech problem in Cancun, and I believe is still at ORD for repairs..

YEah, I heard about the name changing to TCX from one of your Pilots, who is on loan to us.. and personally, I like the blue on G-BXKC better than the green on G-BXKA.. But anyway..

I'll take good care of her for ya!

Chris

BTW- JMC, can you please email me? tx..
