On A Wing And A Prayer

Just saw a movie called "On a wing and a prayer" well i strikes me how in this movie one can take off in a "so-called' 75 and then land in a Caravelle (nice to see a classic nonetheless) ..my question to u all is about the last bird..anyone know it's history???
