LTU A330 Landing In The Mud!

According to Spiegel Online yesterday evening at around 11 p.m. an LTU A330 with approx. 200 pax landed in Rheinmünster (Baden Airpark) and rolled off the runway into the mud, its landing gear sinking into the soft ground.
Fortunately nobody was hurt, and the Fire Brigade managed to pull the aircraft back onto the tarmac. One other flight had to be redirected to STR.

I know it's only VfB but I like it!

Yes it was, came in from Paris CDG and was on to Jeddah.
Aircraft is supposed to depart today.
Should be one of LTU´s remaining A330-300, but no reg
available yet.

I think the header "taxiing into the mud" would have been more appropriate. As far as I understand it, the aircraft was following a follow-me-car which took a taxiway too narrow for the Airbus A330-300 (FKB does not have regular wide-body movements....). Nothing spectacular.

Rheinmünster - Bei seinem Landemanöver kam der Airbus in der Nacht zum Dienstag gegen 23.00 Uhr auf dem Baden-Airpark im baden-württembergischen Rheinmünster vom Rollweg ab und landete im Acker. Der LTU-Flieger des Typs A 330 habe sich mit dem Fahrwerk im Boden verkeilt, teilte die Pressestelle des Flughafens mit. Die Feuerwehr barg ihn mit schwerem Gerät.

First impression is: He came off the runway while braking, but I guess it's more like you said!

This morning at 7 a.m. a 737 (MUC-DUS, was that a Deutsche BA?) was taxiing to the runway, slipped on ice and the front wheels sank into the mud..runway closed for 90 minutes.

I know it's only VfB but I like it!
