Hello,

Could anyone confirm the news on JustPlanes.com that EAS Airlines of Nigeria took delivery of an ex-Varig Boeing 737-400?

EAS Airlines suffered a major blow to its operations last year when one of its BAC 1-11 aircraft crashed shortly after take off from Kanu Int. Airport in northern Nigeria, killing all but a few onboard, and triggering a tightening of aviation law enforcement and a ban of aircraft manufactured more than 20 years ago (!?!?)

Could this a/c be a replacement?

Any information is appreciated,

EurostarVA
