Yes, it says 'Lord of the Rings' in large gold letters above the last emergency exit door and registration (near the tail) - strategically placed so the gold glows under gate/terminal lights and it's not obscured by jetways, etc.

Looks great! Using 56k here, anyone who experiences a red X right click and go to show picture, it should load, otherwise, yer connection/pc sucks alot.

Cheers,

Are there any plans to do a Gandalf the White? I would love to see that on one of their super nice jets.

What's the affiliation with Air New Zealand and the new "Lord of the Rings" movie, exactly? Are they doing some huge marketing campaign for each other?

I can just see it now:

"If you were able to sit through a 10 hour flight to Auckland, this 3 hour movie is a piece of cake!"  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Are they planning to paint others a/c with others characters from the movie?

Does anyone know?

The film was recorded in New Zealand so that could be it, or?
NZ will paint another aircraft or one which is now painted with a pic of the last part.

Some New Zealand friends of mine were over a couple of weeks back and we popped by the Air NZ office in Singapore to change their date of departure.

The whole office looked like Middle Earth! THere were Lord of the Rings posters everywhere.

Also, I noticed a British Airways desk calender at the customer service agent's desk, with the one world logo on it, facing the customers. So I was like 'Wow you guys haven't even joined one world yet and you're already advertising for them. Sign of things to come?"

She just laughed and went "We'll see!"
