I saw the plane on CNN at lunch, cant find a pic (anyone?) It has the logo owl on the tail and Hooters air in Orange along the fus.

And there will be 2 hooters girls on each flight  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Here is one article from AP via yahoohttp://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/030124/dcf034_1.html

Part of the article
"Hooters Air 737s will be manned by a flight crew consisting of two pilots (wearing traditional pilot uniforms), three flight attendants (wearing khaki pants and orange Hooters Air polo shirts) and two Hooters Girls (wearing traditional Hooters Restaurant uniforms). The flight attendants will be experienced, certified, and the position will be gender neutral. The Hooters Girls will be restaurant employees who will assist with hostess and food/beverage functions as allowed by FAA regulations.

"We feel we have put together the best possible formula for success for Hooters Air," stated Hooters of America, Inc. Vice President of Marketing, Mike McNeil"

Hooters Air is going to be primarily a charter airline operating under the PACE Airlines AOC. Hooters Air Inc bought PACE Airlines late last year after failing to acquire Vanguard Airlines.

I wonder if in the before flight speech these things might be said....Remember just because the breasts are not inflating, does not mean there is no Oxygen, or in the case of a water landing, breasts may used as a flotation device, please take time to locate the nearest breasts near you Big grin...Sorry could not resist

That is sweet. I just wish that Hooters Air flew regular scheduled, it would be a relief to see some beautiful women as flight attendants again (the two hooters girls) instead of the politically correct flight attendants of today.

Well first off, the Hooters girls arent gonna be the flight attendants. Read that a little more carefully.

Second, always think before you talk...There just might be some of those "politically correct flight attendants" in this forum  Big grin

I wonder how CNN got the footage? WFMY News 2 is the CNN affliate in the Triad and I don't think they covered the press conference because they were on complete snow patrol. I am amazed how often WFMY covers stuff at PTI though. How the the Fox 8 story AC Driver. I have a feeling WXII will cover it pretty heavy since it is W-S and that's their speciality

I think I am allowed to express my oppinion that I would love to see the days of old when the women on Southwest used to wear the Hot Pants. What is wrong with an airline doing that again? Can't just one airline have beautiful women? Why does everyone have to be politically correct these days.

I read the artical, there will be four regular flight attendants and two Hooters Girls to help out.

I know that the plane was repainted with DL at ATL, so CNN might have sent a crew the few miles down to Hartsfield to get some footage.

I think Hooters Air should do what West Pac did with painting those women on the tail. They should hold contests at the different Hooters and the winners get pictured on the tail kind of like Hooters has those baseball cards with the girls.

The FA's are gonna be just like any other airline. Young and old, male and female. The only difference is there will be 2 Hooters girls doing the service.

I think I am allowed to express my opinion that I would love to see the days of old when the women on Southwest used to wear the Hot Pants. What is wrong with an airline doing that again?

Look man, don't get me wrong. I'm all for it too. But there is a thing called integrity that FA's have. They save your life if something happens, they need your respect. Hot chicks running around in short shorts, while being nice to look at, no matter how qualified they are, aren't going to garner the respect they need.

On the other hand, if I were boarding a plane with the owl on it, and a ticket stub that said Hooters on it, I wouldn't wanna see a guy standing in the galley either. Which is why Hooters is doing it the right way. 100% proficient FA's AND the Hooters girls we all know and love.

Not only that, but dream all you want. 99.9% of you aren't going to see the inside of one of those planes. These are going to be exclusive charters.

Hooters Air could start a subcompany called Pecker's Air and have all male flight attendants and their symbol will be a Wood Pecker.
