Old, oft repeated topic- as a CNY Resident, I've yet to see anything about them, and I think their site says they were to have received their first jets last April.

I think some guy made this up for an entreprenuership class, he built a website up and made it all fancy and realistic looking to get a 4.0 from his professor

No they were not fake. Very unrealistic, but not fake. The Legacy/Oneida group filed for an operating cert i think a about 18 months ago. The Feds started asking them for more info about their finacial backing and the application died at that point.

As for the other CNY group, Northern. I think they are a bit more realistic. That group as been trying to get going for a long time. They do have backing from the city of SYR. Weather they can actually make it I doubt it. The economy of CNY has been terrible for ever, with no turn around in sight. There has been a mass exodus of young talent for the last 20 years. The jobs just arn't there. That's why I finally left.
