Astraeus To Replace B737s With A320s?!

Hello,

Rumor has it that AEU are planning to replace their 4 B737s with A320s as they're having trouble finding more second hand 700 series to add to the fleet. Sounds odd to me because there are only two NGs with AEU- the other 2 a/c are 300 series, so why not just add more of the older models?!
The two B737-700s currently with Astaeus are ex-Midway.

Also, does the A320 have enough range to fly non stop to destinations like Banjul (Gambia) and Taba (Egypt), like the 700s do?

Unlikely, but any news on the old rumors that AEU are interested in acquiring B752s and B763s as well?!

Good to see AEU doing well- they're currently recruiting more cabin crew so the expansion must be coming soon.

They are looking at 2 A320s to sign up for around now, as they cannot source 737-700s at the moment. Also they can get rock bottom lease rates on A320s right now.


I used to love the smell of Jet-A in the morning...
