Eastern- They used to hub at my home airport (MCI) and I remember the day my dad and I went to the airport for the 10am westbound rush. We got their a little late to find all 10 of the Eastern 727s lined up to depart on 19. It was truly awesome!
Braniff - These were the days I discovered that I could nag my parents to take me to the airport. Thanks for putting up with me and my nagging. Isn't it great when your parents realize that they have a kid that is really excited about something so awesome.

I would like to add Western & Hughes Airwest. When I was a kid, my dad would take me to LAX & watch all the airplanes. Western, Pan Am & Hughes Airwest are three classics I truly miss these days. Regards.

Isn't it amazing??? Once upon a time there were so many players in this game...so many identities, so many logos, liveries, and hub cities. It's sad to think that the ones that stand out in our minds are the ones that met their fate long ago.

One of these days, they'll merge into one giant airline called...who knows.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
