Bonjour all...

Just a short note to tell you that Air France is in the final process to get a new long haul product with revamped private seats in First, lie-flat seats in business going from the current 48 inches to 61 and a new economy product...
The First aircraft should be out in november 2003 and the whole fleet will be completed by the end of 2004...
The European haul fleet will be refitted with a new product during 2004...

Watch this space !

Happy Flying,

AF Cabin Crew.

Although I have flown only in Economy I must say that their long haul service was already pretty good, especially on the PTV equipped 777.

Ia orana,
Is there any picture available somewhere?
Who won the contract for those seats? Is it SICMA aero seat?

More leg room on their planes on the economy sector will be good.

I thought that the seats in L'Espace Affaires were very comfortable, but I guess they have to compete with BA. I dont know, I dont find the lie-flat seats very comfortable when they are fully reclined.

Has AF mentioned which equipment & routes will unveil the new long haul product first? Do they have a specific order in which they take the aircraft out of service for the upgrades? They have been talking about this upgrade for some time now and its great news to hear it will finally be rolled out!

The product will most likely first appear on the A332 when new ones are delivered. New 777's will also most likely have the product. The 744's, A340's, and current 777's will all have to be refitted.
