As I haven't flown across the pond, yet, it seems that US is the only carrier without an airshow of some kind. Was that not an option on the Sony system or was it too much $$$$? For my first flight across the pond I'd sure like to know where I am, without making enemies with the cabin crew for flight updates. As I haven't experienced the on-demand system, I 've heard it's excellent, but this seems to be such a minor detail left out that may force me to another carrier.

The pleasures of the AVOD far outweigh the lack of airshow, IMHO.
I like to watch the airshow, too... but there are other factors about the US A330 that makes it worthwhile.
