Does anyone know what British Airways is like in Economy on the 777 and 747? Please tell me they offer more room than KLM! After flying KLM to San Fransisco I jumped on an Alaska MD-80 and flew to Seattle, Economy on Alaska felt like FIRST CLASS compared to KLM. If anyone knows how much leg room British offers that would be awesome.

KLM should be around "31 in coach. But, in my humble opinion, BA has terrific transatlantic service in coach...If you can, you might want to check the availibility of Premium Economy on those flights, and see if you can upgrade.

I recently flew DEN-LHR (777) roundtrip and found BA's Y class (World Traveller) very comfortable. I'm 6'3" and didn't have any issues with leg room, even when the person in front of me slammed her seat back. With the exception of the headrest, I would rate BA's standard economy pretty high relative to other trans-Atlantic carriers.
