Hi,

I was wondering what a Caribbean Sun Airlines Dash-8 was doing at Fort Lauderdale (FLL) last year in november? I know this airline is a fully owned subsidiary of Caribbean Star Airlines and that they are based at San Juan P.R. (SJU) They operate in the northern caribbean while Caribbean Star Airlines operates in both the northern and eastern caribbean. I remember Caribbean Sun Airlines also wanted to start flying from Florida basing some of its aircraft in Florida. So what's the story? Does Caribbean Sun Airlines also fly from Fort Lauderdale or any other destination in that area? If so, do they have aircraft based in Florida, after all, this airline is registered in the United States but owned by a caribbean company.

Were those flights in/out of Fort Lauderdale just crew training flights?

Caribbean Sun is based in Fort Laurdale but they fly out of San Juan to various Caribbean destinations. And no at the moment they are not operating flights out of FLL .

The airline is owned by a caribbean company which is owned by Allen Standford. The sister airline Caribbean Star is moving its operational base to St Kitts.
