I always thought the coolest looking airports were at Male, Madlives and Macau Airport with the taxi way between the main tarmac and the runway but this airport in Portugal is now number one on my list. If you look at more pictures of the airport here on A.net the airport is really cool with one of the end of the runways on a man-made bridge. Really cool.

I agree B747_a340. Kansai is a cool airport. I went there on a NWA DC-10 from SEA. The bridge from the airport to the mainland is pretty cool too.

The second runway should be cool too when it's done in like five years.

In the United States, I believe the coolest looking aiport is Orlando International Aiport.

I'd have to say that both HKG Sr. and HKG Jr. are/were the most incredible airports:

Kai Tak for its layout and psycho approach

Chek Lap Kok for its amazing terminal

On the inside I think MCO is the coolest looking, plus those monorails over te alligator ponds look cool too.

On the Outside I like DEN.

DEN is easily the neatest looking from the outside.

There's a CNN special on right now... they're using stock footage of one of the A321 test planes.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

I also like Sky Harbor in Phoenix, AZ. But I think it could be better though. Another nice one is Chiang Kai Shek in Taipei. (terminal 2)
greetings,

McMurdo, Antarctica ... especially during a blizzard.

A cool warm airport (or set of airports) are those in French Polynesia, especially Bora Bora.

Talking about the buildings I would say DEN for the little I've seen, BIO and CPH.

Dulles Airport, 25 years ago, before all the distracting junk was constructed, was a breath-taking sight as you crested the last hill on the road west.

Columbia, South Carolina (CAE) is an attractive regional airport. From the ramp, you go through glass-walled rooms and up to the departure/arrival lounge. It's actually very nice.

MCI, at least, the parts that are being rebuilt, is actually starting to look quite attractive.

TWA's old terminal at JFK will always be *the* coolest.

Even though it is a small airport. DRO(Durango, Co) has one of the most breath taking views outside of the terminal itself. The building is fairly new as well. I suggest to anyone making a trip down to the area.

Ya'll, if you haven't seen pics of Riyadh's King Khaled International Airport, you should really look some up. Probably one of the most beautiful airports in the world! It's AMAZING.
