British Airways is set to increase its services to Tehran, the Iranian capital, to five flights a
week non-stop as part of its forthcoming summer schedule.
Currently there are four weekly services which, from the beginning of April, increase to
five flights, departing from London on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and
Sunday at 21:00 arriving 06:30 the next day. Return flights operate the following day from
Tehran, departing early morning and arriving late morning into Heathrow. The service is
operated by British Airways’ sole longhaul, independent franchise partner, British
Mediterranean Airways.
In other schedule news, British Mediterranean Airways announced the launch of a new
route to Tashkent, Uzbekistan; an increase to eleven flights a week to Beirut, Lebanon;
non-stop flights to Yerevan, Armenia, and extra passenger capacity to Tbilisi, Georgia.

Flights to Tashkent, will commence on 30th March and will operate three times a week from London on
Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, returning the following day, via Yerevan, Armenia. The service
will be operated by British Airways’ sole longhaul, independent franchise partner, British
Mediterranean Airways, as part of the latter’s forthcoming summer schedule.

Interestingly, these flights are operated by Airbus 320 or 321. Some of them must be among the longest legs flown by these planes.

Yeah, the LHR-Tehran flight is an A321, the longest A321 flight in the world.
