Where will they be used, European or North American routes? Or both?

They'll probably be used on short domestic flights within Egypt and short to medium haul European flights because those have been ordered to replace the A300's. Yes, I knew that Egypt Air was planning to retire its last A300 sometimes next year. They'll use the A340's and B777's for long haul intercontinental flights. I don't know if they still have their 2 B747-300's.
Oh yes, the A330 in Egypt Air's livery will look beautiful.

Do we have a source on this yet?
I've found nothing on the web (EgyptAir, Airbus, several aviation news sites, etc.)
Alot of "orders" seem to be getting announced on this site lately. . .

As American 767 mentioned AB 330s will replace AB 300-600 & they will operate flights to Europe & Middle East .
About YUL-CAI route Egypt Air current plans that the route will be operated directly by 777s , may be in the future there will be some changes but if 330 will operate the line that can be made by one stop { Amsterdam or Manchester } .

Good news - and not before time. Even if it hasn't been officially announced, this (like TAP's impending 332 order) has long been expected.
While the 332 will replace the AB6 (almost) one for one, it does offer advantages over the older aircraft (which of course, one would expect!):
- Better range; the YUL-CAI route should easily be coped with by the 332
- Commonality with other Airbus types. I'd imagine MS would use one pilot pool for the 332/346 and another for the 319/320/321, but crews should be able to transfer between them with ease.
Incidentally, saw a 777 at LHR y'day ('GBY). What a beauty!

ConcordeBoy,
MS operates 5 Pratt-powered 777-200ERs.
SAA201,
IIRC, they have ordered 2 A340-600s. I'm not sure on delivery dates.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not doubting that MS will order the A332. It has been rumored for over a year. However, just like the Thai A346 "order" that was announced on this site a few weeks ago, it seems like someone reads a rumor, then reports it as fact.

Who said they are burning money no they are saving money operating old aircrafts are much more expensive than operating new aircrafts .
Sure they make alot of profits .
Yes Egypt Air is a popular airline to fly with .
About service their first class service was great , Economy class service is not that good they need to improve it .
About the safety Egypt Air has a modern fleet & after the last 737-500 crash they improved their safety .
