Any word about what routes Midwest Airlines will begin service with on the 717's ? I would think between Milwaukee and the East Coast destinations.

I hope they bring the 717 to OMA. This is probably the only way OMA would see a 717, unless Air Tran decided to come to OMA.

I hope they fly these to GFK. MKE to GFK would be an extremely popular route... yeah right!!!

 Big thumbs up

Rj777 - your message to Joe Leonard's computer. I want OMA on Airtran's route map.

My inside source at YX tells me the 717s will be replacing DC-9-30s on the routes they serve. For example, MKE-DFW, MKE-BOS, etc. They are even talking about extending the range and flying them on MKE-LAXBig grin

MCI-MSY needs to go 2X daily....

Vanguard filled there 2 737-200's pretty decently on most days...average load in the mid 70's I would say...many times filled to capacity even during the slow summer season..

I thought YX would have 2 dailies when NJ went under...the demand is there for sure...I hope YX gets with the program.

Steve in NOLA

Next trip: MSY-SEA-GEG-SEA-LWS-BOI-PDX-SEA-LAS on AS

Keep in mind that Vanguard went out of business with their route system. YX would be wise to think twice before going full steam into Vanguard routes. You most likely would not see a 717 in OMA or MSY for a while.

as soon as they get enough, they will probably send some to MSY. IT is just a matter of time.
