Two daily ERJ flights from EWR-Northwest Arkansas , and a daily 737-800 flight from EWR-Port Of Spain.
The Arkansas flights were "officialy" announced today, the Port Of Spain flight was announced in the business section of today's Star Ledger. Should get an official press release sometime this week, probably tomorrow.

It still looks like American Eagle is operating 2x daily flights from LaGuardia, but only with an ERJ-135. So it seems a little surprising that COEX would start this one up. But I would imagine with the feed they have at Newark they can generate the passengers for it. Plus the 9:10am first departure seems to allow for connections from points east and upstate.
Any speculation on whether this would be operated by an ERJ-145XR?

Those two AA flights from LGA to XNA are also know as the "WalMart Shuttle". I have taken that flight several times for work. It is full of salesmen, advertizers, finance types, etc all trying to pitch widjits to the king of department stores.
When the overdressed wall-street, Madison Ave types step out at XNA- they look so out of place! Those flights might even be subsidized by Walmart. Tyson is another big company near XNA.

I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT! This was bound to come after CO finally got around to launching IAH-XNA. I flew into XNA 4 years ago and was surprised CO didn't have any service there.
Once AA put NYC-XNA nonstops in from LGA, it would not take long for CO to add EWR-XNA. CO doesn't like to allow competitors one-up them in the NYC market. One of AA's LGA-XNA's nonstops leaves at 6:00 a.m. That's pretty early!

It would be nice to come to Piarco and see continetal. I hope that they can boot up the service to a wide body, For carnival it would be nice to see a 764.. some other than the 738 for a little variety at Piarco. When is continetal going to come to Barbados and give AA a run...

This is great news for Continental to start up EWR-POS service. Its good to see CO get a share of the action in the New York Area. Do you think that CO would ever think of starting MIA-POS also? There are only two airlines on this run which are AA and BW. CO could give some good competition on that route from MIA-POS.

They would probably not use widebodies to POS as the US routes to Trinidad are not really heavy enough year-round to justify them - but during peak periods they may well be justified. The frequency of service to POS seems to be more important as a lot of business pax fly the routes now alongside the VFR so the 738 seems to be the ideal type.

I think the chances of CO flying the MIA-POS route are prety slim to none . I believe they will stick to the EWR-POS route and if the route does extremely well (beyond their expectations) we might even see a IAH-POS flight.

Not anytime soon into the future nonstop from IAH-POS flight. Right now, they made for new flight from IAH-AUA flight for first time ever on Continental Airlines and already operate out of EWR-AUA flight now. I do think load factors is doing very well with the very popular caribbean vacations. Well, catch ya later!
