In this picture, it says that N342AA is the newest AA 767. Does it have the new interior? If it does, then is it the only one in the fleet with this? How many 763s and which operators operate the 763 with the new interior. I only know of Kenya Airways and Hawaiian.

Continental is the only airline to operate the 777-style cabin interior on their 767-200ER's. There are 10 in the fleet.

The Boeing 767-200ER production line was reopened for Continental following their order, in 1998.

N342AN is the first of 9 new 767-323 with this new interior design, modeled after the 777 interior style. AA should be ready to accept N343AN & N344AN sometime later this year. FYI, these 9 new ships were ordered to replace TWA's fleet of 763s with the PW engines. Regards.

COEWR- Yes, because Continental is the only one receiving 762s. All 767s are built on the same line, so no reopening was required.

This AA 767 is a 763. There are a few operators that have ordered the new interior style on the 763.

Are 762s still being produced?

The 762 can be produced at any time, if someone orders them.

I don't know if CO has all of theirs or not.

Aa777flyer: If possible, could you get some Cabin Photos and upload them, or email them to me? Thanks.

The new 777 style interior is optional. And, as I recall, AA specified the OLD style interior in order to have a consistent fleet. What, 9 planes with a new interior, and 80 or so with old? Makes no sense.

I might eat my words on this one, but I really do seem to remember thinking that they went with the old style.

The new 763's do have the 777 style interior. I was able to grab a quick peek today. These airplanes were also suppose to have PTV's, but that was opted out as a cost saving. The "guts" for it appear to be there as the little remote controls at every seat have a "TV" button. Maybe if and when things turn around for AA these will be added at a later date.
Did not get a chance to snap a pic as pax were boarding. It will be in DFW again tomorrow operating as AA963 DFWSCL....
