While looking at flight tracker during the recent snow storm I noticed a few strange arrivals and departures. From Buffalo Southwest only serves BWI, LAS, PHX, MCO. On Sunday and Monday I noticed nonstops to/From Houston Hobby, Jackson MS and Indianapolis. These are airports not served from Buffalo. Also, USAirways nonstops from PBI and one to Tampa. I realize no planes could get to BWI or maybe Charlotte that's why the deviations. Do these planes go out empty?

All I know is, according to SportsCentre this morning (the world's most reliable source for news...), many flights were being diverted to Buffalo (and they said it's quite pathetic when that happens; BUF residents, complain to John Anderson and Steve Berthaume).
As for planes going out empty, I doubt it. They are all probably going to go back down to BWI (Unless BUF was your final destination, I would think Southwest would let you off there).
