Has anyone seen this 278 PDF document?

It is on the internet and looks official.

The title is:

Plan for Transformation
Creditors Committee Meeting

January 31 2003
CONFIDENTIAL.

I can't tell you where to find it for security reasons. But if you look hard enough... (someone else drop a hint please!)

I did take about 90 minutes out of my schedule to skim through it yesterday. Very interesting...some detail but not at the depth that I would have expected for a company hanging for its dear life.

What I find most interesting is that there is no ambiguity as to what they are seeing as teh "target"- they need to find some way to "become Southwest."

It will truly take a sea change in their ways of doing business and, more importantly, trheir way of dealing with people.

TransSwede: Whoops. I thought that this PDF document was about United. Never mind.

So, how come this got to be leaked anyway?!

Perhaps a strategic one by management to try and improve labour relations ahead of implementing LCC changes a la your favourite political party.

can't comment on "why" the document leaked...
(if it was a leak at all)

The company that I used to work for occasionally "leak"
supposed confidential info to "fool" competitors. Sometimes
it works and sometimes it doesn't...  Smile Enough said...  Smile

The PDF I looked at is simply an outline of a hoped for recovery.... it identifies the state of the industry fairly well. All info that I saw is readily available and most of the "confidential" strategies have been discussed on various forums for a couple of months. If this is actually an UAL document, I will say a prayer for the stockholders tonight.............

I can't think of anything like this from a major corporation that isn't marked "Confidential" on the bottom. All these things are so confidential, they just have to have them on publicly-accessible server drives on the company's worldwide intranet with hundreds of thousands of machines on the network! So confidential!
