From the looks of flightarrivals, CMH is still chuggin' along. I'm gonna turn on my scanner in a minute.

28L RVR at CMH is 2600'. ATC is giving the choice to land or arrange a flight plan to CLE.

Just talked to a friend who is at TOL right now, all gates are full - but they are stacking them in. Delta has the entire east concourse/wing to themselves...which will allow them to park around 7+ planes there...so far they'll have 7.  Big grin

28L RVR at Columbus is 6000+ and no one is having any problems. Traditionally, CMH has accepted many DL diversions, wonder why we haven't gotten any tonight.

DL isn't having a problem in CVG...just the RJs and props. Yes...looks like CMH is improving some but still diverting a couple here and there. We just got an Eagle from CMH in here.

CVG and CMH seem to be back to normal ops. The Eagle diversion we took from CMH will be heading out in 15 minutes.

Well they are forecasting 8-12 inches of snow at DTW tomorrow, so these airports could see round two of diversions, this time with red tails.

Since I worked tonight.....here's my story ;O)

Holy cow what a night!!! It started with the TOL 700p flight turning around and coming back with one Comair plane on the ground already. Then they get a call that they're going to get 4 more but 1 actually made it into CVG. 3 other CRJs made it in from O'Hare LaGuardia and one other place. There was an FRJ ferry flight that came in from GSP later in the evening. Oh...don't forget their CRJ 700 that came in from ATL, but luckily that was late and got in around 1130p. All diversions were originally destined for CVG.

Thought that was enough? Nope....American had to bring in 2, 1 destined for CVG (from DFW), 1 destined for CMH (from DFW)....we got our DFW service

So....I bet you are guessing where we parked all of these planes this evening since only 1 ferried out to BWI. With NW having 3 planes on the ground (2 at gate 4 and 1 at gate 7). 1 For US at gate 3 and 1 for TZ at gate 5 it made things just a lil' tough...but the airport looked kinda cool Delta parked 2 at gate 1A, 1 at Gate 2, and 3 at Gate 1. We had to get creative with AA....but 1 parked at gate 6 like normal and the other 2 were parked at gate 5 since TZ arrived after both and goes out before the both of them....so I squeezed the Saab in between two ERJs....I did good tonight...hehe

The airport looked great tonight....they even had to reopen up the bar upstairs until like 1130p....then they cancelled all of the Delta flights and the people drinking...not a good mix..but all in all a decent but busy night....just wish it could always be this fun with a lot of planes there......just think at one point there were 14 A/c on the ground at once

Koudos to all the hard workers at Delta and especially to those at good 'ole American... ::claps::

::outta breath::

Ry

Im sure it was a bad day for Delta.

Im an airtraffic controller and yesterday for what seemed like the entire evening there was a ground stop for ATL and a ground stop for CVG cat 1 & 2 arrivals.

Man can you imagine how that would affect the entire system.

Here is the TOL list last night of all arrivals that overnighted - except for one Comair CRJ that left for BWI. Dan - I would go to Flytecomm.com and just pull up the list of arrivals for CLE and you should be able to see what all came in there in the last 24 hours.

American Eagle 355 - Chicago O'Hare - Scheduled - 948p - ERJ
  • American Eagle 897 - Columbus/Dallas - Diversion - 1029p - ERJ

  • American Eagle 885 - Dallas (CVG) - Diversion - 920p - ERJ

  • ACA / Delta 6206 - Cincinnati - Returned - 830p - FRJ

  • ACA / Delta 9941 - Greenville, SC - Positioning - 1104p - FRJ

  • ASA / Delta 4580 - Atlanta - Scheduled - 1122p - CR7
    ATA Connx 3768 - Chicago Midway - Scheduled - 1117p - SF3
    Comair / Delta 918 - Cincinnati - Scheduled - 758p - CRJ
  • Comair / Delta 488 - Chicago O'Hare (CVG) - Diversion - 910p - CRJ

  • Comair / Delta 36 - New York JFK (CVG) - Diversion - 921p - CRJ

  • Mesaba / NW 3352 - Detroit - Scheduled - 605p - SF3
    Mesaba / NW 3378 - Detroit - Scheduled - 957p - SF3
    Pinnacle / NW 3768 - Detroit - Scheduled - 735p - CRJ
    Shuttle / US 4486 - Pittsburgh - Scheduled - 925p - SF3

TOL was expecting a flight from SAV, that did make it into CVG however. As Ryan stated...he stacked them in pretty good - from what I saw this morning.
